The Carat assortment consists of primers, plastic primer, several trendy lacquers, some effect lacquers (chrome and sparkle) and a special primer for styropor.

Usage instructions

The surface should be clean, dry and free of grease. Remove loose old lacquer and rust, sand the surface and apply a layer of Carat primer. When treating surfaces of plastic, first apply a layer of Carat plastic primer before applying the Carat primer. After drying, sand the base layer (grain 600).

The surface should be clean, dry and free of grease. The aerosol should have room temperature. Best processing temperature 15 to 25°C. Before use, shake the aerosol for 2 minutes and spray a sample. Distance to the surface to be treated approximately 25 to 30 centimetre.

Apply the lacquer in several thin layers. Before applying the next layer, again shake the aerosol.

After use, clean the valve (turn aerosol upside down and press the nozzle for approximately 5 seconds).

Need to know the colour of your car? It’s actually located on your car. Even if two paint colours look the same, car manufacturers make loads of different exterior paint colours and they can all vary from year to year, so you need to make sure the code is right to get an exact paint match. Variation

Car manufacturers have different production series where they might use paints from different paint manufacturers. Therefore, it can occur there are slight changes in colour shade under the same car colour code. To supply everyone, MOTIP makes these variations available. Is there a check mark visible in this column? This means you have a colour code with variations. The differences are small. However, they may be noticeable. We simply cannot say precisely which article best matches the colour of your car. In this case, we’d recommend you check the colour chart at a shop. If you do want to try, always spray a small sample to check if the colour matches the colour of the car.
