  • 1. What is the price of the product?

    The best way to find out the price is to contact our resellers, both online and in the offline shop.

  • 2. How do I use an aerosol?

    You will find the instructions for use of an aerosol on the product page. If available, you will find recommended blogs/articles and a video. Before use, always read the instructions on the product label and read the technical data sheet. These can be downloaded (TI/ TDS) from the product page.

  • 3. Where to buy MOTIP?

    View our sales locations by clicking on ''Where to buy'' in the menu. Currently we only have store data from the Netherlands. Please note that opening hours may vary. To be sure that your desired product is in stock, please contact the reseller. We sell our products exclusively through resellers. Do you want to buy MOTIP products online? We advise you to enter the product in Google. You will then automatically see the offers of our online resellers.

  • 4. Where can I download an SDS (Safety Data Sheet) or TDS (Technical Data Sheet)?

    On all specific product pages you have the option to download an SDS or TDS of the product. Also in the direct search in the search bar you will see an option to directly download an SDS or TDS of the product. Can't find a product? In the top right corner of the page you can switch between segments. Here you choose Automotive (lacquers, putty, additives, technical sprays and car care), Industry (RAL lacquers, technical sprays, marking), Do-it-yourself (Deco, Carat, Crafts, Effect) or Bike. Is a download not working? Then please contact us using the form below. We will try to provide you with the documents within a few working days.

  • 5. I have a question about a product.

    On the page of your chosen product, you will find information about the product and the instructions for use. You can also download the Technical Data Sheet, where you will find additional information about applications, drying times, surfaces and more. Also check the FAQ on the product pages: car repair paints, universal & specialty paints, car body protection, putties, tuning, car care, technical sprays, additives, RAL specialties, marking sprays, bicycle care and decorative paints. In the top right-hand corner of the page, you can change the segment. Here you choose Automotive (lacquers, fillers, additives, technical sprays and car care), Industry (RAL lacquers, technical sprays, marking), Do-it-yourself (Deco, Carat, Crafts, Effect) or Bicycle. Please contact us using the form below for any missing information. We will try to provide you with an answer within a few working days.

  • 6. I have a complaint about a product.

    Complaints about a product are generally dealt with at the location where the product was bought. They will contact MOTIP (manufacturer) via their supplier. We understand in modern times that it is sometimes easier to contact the manufacturer directly.

  • 7. Do you have my car paint colour? There are no results for my search.

    At the moment we do not have your car colour available. This can always change in the future. We keep track of the searches to enrich our product range, should the demand be high.

  • 8. What is the shelf life of an aerosol can?

    The date until which the product can be used can be found on the bottom of the aerosol can.

  • 9. What precautions should I take before using an aerosol?

    Read the hazard and precautionary statements on the label carefully. Make sure you use the aerosol outside or in a well-ventilated area. Always cover the area around the room. Use a mask to avoid breathing in the vapours and, if necessary, use gloves to avoid getting any remnants of the product on your hands. Product can always get on your clothes, make sure you wear old clothes. The use of an aerosol is entirely at your own risk.

  • 10. No paint comes out of my spray can. (No-spray ring)

    All our lacquer spray cans have a no-spray ring. Remove the spray cap and take off the ring. The spray can is now ready for use. Is there still no paint coming out of your spray can? Please contact us via the contact form.

How to find a car paint colour code

Need to know the colour of your car? It’s actually located on your car. Even if two paint colours look the same, car manufacturers make loads of different exterior paint colours and they can all vary from year to year, so you need to make sure the code is right to get an exact paint match. Find out below where you can find your car’s colour.

The image above shows the most common places where you can find your colour code. If you select your car brand you will see a specific image containing the locations for your vehicle.

Variation

Car manufacturers have different production series where they might use paints from different paint manufacturers. Therefore, it can occur there are slight changes in colour shade under the same car colour code. To supply everyone, MOTIP makes these variations available. Is there a check mark visible in this column? This means you have a colour code with variations. The differences are small. However, they may be noticeable. We simply cannot say precisely which article best matches the colour of your car. In this case, we’d recommend you check the colour chart at a shop. If you do want to try, always spray a small sample to check if the colour matches the colour of the car.
